Glass strawberry

The glass strawberry is a lovely and memorable Viljandi souvenir that combines a local story, Estonian handicraft, and glass art. This small red glass item is perfect as a gift, a souvenir, or simply to bring joy to your home.

The inspiration for this glass strawberry comes from the artist Paul Kondas, who was closely associated with Viljandi, and his famous painting “The Strawberry Eaters.” It is from this work that the strawberry became one of Viljandi’s symbols, recognized by locals and visitors alike.

Each glass strawberry is handmade at the PUHU Glass Studio in Viljandi. As it is a handmade item, every strawberry is slightly different – just like real strawberries in nature. These small differences give each piece its own character and uniqueness.
